Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using SaveThenRead (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service does

SaveThenRead is a reading productivity tool that lets you save articles, PDFs, EPUBs, and other content for later reading. Pro features include AI-powered summaries, text-to-speech, focus reading mode, and RSS feed management.

Your account

• You must provide an accurate email address and keep your account secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• One account per person. Do not share accounts.

Subscriptions & payments

• Payments are processed by Gumroad. By purchasing a plan you also agree to Gumroad’s Terms of Service.
• Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time before the next billing date.
• Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase with no recurring charges.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of purchase if you have an issue.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to store or distribute illegal, infringing, or harmful content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
• Use automated tools to create accounts or bypass usage limits.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you save. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your saved articles or files.

Intellectual property

The SaveThenRead name, logo, and software are owned by us. You may not use them without permission. The Chrome extension and web app source code are proprietary.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of AI-generated content, or uninterrupted access. AI summaries and critiques are generated automatically and may contain errors — always verify important information.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaveThenRead shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
